ABOUT DR JANINA KACZMARCZYK

Dr. Janina is an Australian General and Hepatobiliary surgeon practicing in Adelaide, South Australia. She is a Staff Specialist Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon at Flinders Medical Centre, and operates privately as part of Adelaide Liver, Biliary and Pancreatic Specialists (ALPBS)

After completing her science degree at the University of Maryland, USA she returned to Australia to complete her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sydney in 2005. 

Dr. Janina then moved to Adelaide to complete her Australian Surgical Educational Training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and went to successfully acquire her fellowship in General Surgery (FRACS) in 2015. 

Thereafter, Dr. Janina's main interest has been focused on Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery. She completed her training with the Australian and New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association (ANZHPBA). She carried out her training in Australia, The United Kingdom (UK) and France. 

Dr. Janina completed her Hepatobiliary surgical training in Europe. That involved spending twelve months focusing on laparoscopic (Keyhole) liver and pancreatic surgery for benign and malignant tumours  at one of the world's most renowned hospitals in the field, Southampton University Hospital, UK. 

Dr. Janina also completed a Masters Degree in Minimally Invasive Surgery with the University of Adelaide in 2018. 

Dr. Janina returned to South Australia to start her private practice in Adelaide, beside her public commitments at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC).
